Emma • A lively eatery close to the Pantheon with a local menu featuring homemade pasta, pizzas, meat dishes & desserts, plus wine.
Antica Osteria di Pietra • Close to the Trevi fountain, this restaurant has amazing outdoor patio in a crowded laneway, so you feel in the center of things. The food is incredible and there is a lot to do in the area from site-seeing to good bars to gelato shops.
Al 34 • At the base of the Spanish Steps and surrounded by luxury stores like Prada and Gucci, this restaurant is tucked in a quiet laneway and serves great food and drinks.
The Court • Go at all costs! Overlooking the Colosseum, this place defines "drinks with a view". We could not believe the experience and they are/were on the Top 50 Bars list, so they know their cocktails. Ps. don't get thrown off by the 3.9 Google rating—this is for their other restaurant.
Drink Kong • Drink Kong was closed for the holidays when we went. But this cocktail bar is known as the best bar in the city for cocktails.
Cielo Terrace • An incredible rooftop terrace at the top of the Spanish Steps. You can't get much better, but it comes at a price!
Bonus: Outdoor bar at Taberna Patrizi e Plebei • Right by the Trevi fountain, this outdoor bar serves great €5 cocktails. Take your drinks over to Trevi fountain for the best patio in the city!
Colosseum • The best ticket option is "Full Experience Underground and Arena)". This ticket allows you to walk out onto the arena *like a gladiator* and tour the area below. The Colosseum is also one of the seven wonders of the world, so be prepared to be impressed!
Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps & Pantheon • There are tons of historic sites in Rome. While the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are open to the public, you will need tickets to the Pantheon. We really enjoyed grabbing a drink and sitting by the fountain as the sun beamed down on us—nothing more Italian, except the pasta restaurants surrounding it!
Vatican City & Sistine Chapel • Visit a different country within Rome by visiting Vatican City! This place truly is incredible and worth a visit everytime!
Garbatella Storica, Ostiense, San Lorenzo, Pigneto, Centocelle, Testaccio, Prati and Trastevere
